Privacy Policy

Our website address is https://yaidel.poview.org, and throughout this document it may be referred to by various terms such as “we”, “us”, “the website”, and the like. On the other hand, when we talk about “users” or “you” we refer to anyone who visits the website or uses any of its associated services. Finally, when we speak in terms of “services” we mean any service that may be accessed on this website by the users.

The privacy of the users of this website is important to us. This privacy policy has been written with the intention of being simple and accessible to everyone.

By accessing the website and/or any of its services, you agree to this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any of its points, you must cease using them immediately.

Each time you visit the website, use any of its services, or voluntarily provide us with information of any kind, you are consenting to its collection, use and/or disclosure by us in accordance with the terms set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

Our goal is to learn as little as possible about you, while maintaining the functionality of the services provided by the website. However, please note that we may collect both personal and non-personal information about you.

  • Non-personal information includes information that cannot be directly used to identify you, such as (but not limited to) the operating system you use (Windows, Linux, etc.), the browser (Firefox, Chrome), among others. The collection of such data in this website is due to the use of tools such as (but not limited to):
    • Nginx: high-performance lightweight reverse proxy/web server used on our website. Logs are deleted every 14 days.
    • Umami Analytics: open source traffic analysis service that does not collect any directly identifiable information from users. Umami is hosted on the same server as this website, thus avoiding intermediaries.
  • Personal Information includes information that can be used to directly identify you, such as (but not limited to) your name and email address. The following sections details the services that collect this type of information and how they collect it.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the website, we collect the data displayed in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to aid spam detection.

WordPress has a built-in Gravatar avatar service to display avatars in comments. If used, an anonymous string created from your email address (also called a hash) can be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The privacy policy for the Gravatar service is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. Note, however, that the avatar service has been disabled on this website to increase user privacy.

Media

If you upload images to the web, you should avoid uploading images with location data (GPS EXIF) included. Web visitors can download and extract any location data from images on the web.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on the website, you can choose to save your name, email address and your personal website. To do that, we use cookies. This is for your convenience, so you don’t have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year, although you can always delete them in your browser settings.

If you have an account and log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in to your account, we will also set several cookies to store your login information and screen display options. The login cookies last for two days, and the display options cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember me” when logging in, your login will last for two weeks. If you log out of your account, your access cookies will be deleted.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie does not include personal data and simply indicates the ID of the article you have just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, and images). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor had visited the other website.

These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged into that site.

The use of embedded content will be avoided, but we reserve the right to use it, so you must cease accessing the website immediately if you do not agree to this practice.

How is your information used?

The information collected about users is only used for statistical purposes, to improve our products, and to provide the services requested by the user.

With whom do we share your information?

Personal and non-personal information collected about users on this website is stored on a server of the provider https://1984.hosting, and is not shared with third parties. This data is not sold, exchanged, rented or shared.

  • In rare cases, a third party may be involved in handling your data to provide a service. We will always try to provide secure alternatives to our users when available.
  • Some third party services, such as (but not limited to) those that process online payments, have their own privacy policies over which we have no control. We recommend that you read their privacy policies before using their services.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long do we keep your data?

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata, such as (but not limited to) the user’s IP address, are retained indefinitely. This is so that we can recognize and approve successive comments automatically, rather than keeping them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our site (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except that they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also view and edit that information.

What rights do you have over your data?

If you have an account or have left comments on this website, you may request to receive an export file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we delete any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data that we are required to retain for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Where is your data sent?

Visitor comments may be reviewed by an automatic spam detection service.

How do we protect your data?

We implement strong precautions to protect your personal information to the best of our knowledge. However, we cannot guarantee that your information will not be accessed, shared, altered or destroyed by a breach of our security measures.

By visiting this website and/or using any of its services you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume these risks.

As part of our services we may provide links that will redirect you to other websites or applications. We are not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices employed by those sites, much less the information or content they contain.

Modifications to this document

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use at any time. If any of these documents are modified, the new terms will be posted on the appropriate page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.

It is the user’s responsibility to check this website for any such changes. If you do not agree with any statement in this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use you should cease accessing this website immediately.

Direct e-mail communications

Using the personal information that you have provided to us and/or that we have collected, we may contact you to respond to your inquiries or to provide the services.
